British Model Agyness Dean has teamed up with Uniqlo and her younger sister Emily, to launch a capsule collection of tunics and tanks. With images taken on a Polaroid camera they where influenced by the punk era. Agyness is one of my favorite models and anything she does turns out epic. ♥

Mother's Day Cards By Andrea

Oh Hello!  Guess who entered her photos  but forgot to type in the text??  Yes, that would be me!

This is a lovely card designed by my neighbor, Andrea.  Andrea had the scrapping ladies over to make Mother's Day cards.  Andrea has a plethora of stamps and ink pads; the woman could easily start her own store!  Or maybe start giving stamping lessons!

I only made one change on Andrea's design, I added doodle dots.  But even then Andrea made suggestions.  I am so lucky to have such a talented and super-nice neighbor!!

Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries Cards

I recently added a new stamp set to my collection:  Berries and Cherries was purchased from Taylored Expressions.  Taylor has some of the cutest themed cupcake stamps on the markets.  But at the moment I in a fruit phase so I chose cherries.

I stamped the bowl of cherries image in Stampin' Up's chocolate brown classic ink.  I colored in with Copic markers.  I cut the bowl image and the background scalloped matting using my nestabilities.  I also used a new Stampin' Up border punch to finish the edges of the red and gold papers.

I used a circle punch to cut out the phrase cirlce: "Life is just a blow of Cherries".  I mounted the phrase over a strip of yellow-gold ribbon which I tied into a little knot.  The card front section is mounted on a plain white A2 cardstock card base. 

I know this was a quicky post, but I am having a busy week!!

Bee Happy with the BBTB2 BLOG HOP and BLOG CANDY

Don't worry, Bee happy - it's a Bitten By the Bug 2 Monday with the April Blog Hop!!  How great is that?   The Monday Blog Hop is enough to chase away all of your Monday blues.  If you are following the blog hop you probably arrived here from Margie's blog, if not, you may want to start the at the beginning of the Blog Hop at BBTB2 (after you read my post and register for my great blog candy, of course!). 

This week's challenge cut is the Bee from the Sentimentals cartridge.  I made a sweet little yellow and black bee, with a yellow and green shadow cut.  I matted the bee with pop dots onto a label cut also from Sentimentals.  I trimmed the label with flowers because the bee must have been searching for pollen.  Silly Bee.

I added more ribbon and flowers to the bottom of portion of the card and topped the ribbon with the phrase Bee happy.  There is also a sneaky little bee hiding behind the ribbon. 

Did I mention that there would be blog candy??? Oh indeed there IS blog candy.  I have a new, unopened Mother's Day mini cartridge in need of a home!  I will be drawing a winner on Saturday from the comments on this blog post.  So before you hop along, be sure to leave a comment!!!!

Life's A Beach Gecko In the Sun

Guess what I FINALLY purchased??  The Life's A Beach cartridge!  I don't know why I had not purchased this little cutie sooner because it is loaded with adorable cuts!  My first Life's A Beach card features this adorable print Gecko heading off to the beach. 

I love the paper that I used to cut the gecko, but sadly now it is all gone. It is from the same set as the orange background paper and the light blue paper on which the gecko is crawling.  The phrase "fun in the sun" was cut with Bazzill cardstock, and it is on the matching phrase function with the Gecko.

Life's a beach also had some super-cute multi cuts for borders and such.  I just couldn't resist adding these four little geckos as an inside border.  I matted them on rust Bazzill cardstock which is flanked by the orange print from the front.

I finished the card by adding green and orange flowers and a double layer of ribbon.  I used my favorite pens to do a bit of doodling and voila - a cute Gecko in the sun card!!

Ice Cream Cone Treat Box with Sweet Treats

You know how we all have cartridges that are not fully appeciated and used? For me one of those is Sweet Treats. I love the cakes, pies, ice cream, etc. cuts on ST, but I confess that I have only just begun to use the multitude of available cuts. In fact, I had never made of the Sweet Treat treat boxes.

My favorite ice cream cone is strawberry ice cream.  So of course I had to make the strawberry ice cream cone treat box.  In real life I would not top the strawberry cone with chocolate, but the drippy chocolate look wonderful on this cone.  I also like that this cone is topped with a strawberry.

I used the DCWV Sweet stack to cut the treat box elements.  In addition to the ice cream cone and the box cut I also used Sweet paper for the box cut trims (see the box sides in photo number one).  I did add touches of pink bazzill cardstock (scalloped trim on the sides) and green bazzill cardstock (the strawberry leaves).  I completed the treat box by adding ribbon handle.  The ribbon was threaded through the holes on the sides of the treat box and knotted on the inside of the box.

Just think how cute the birthday cake treat box would be for a special birthday!!  I may have to make the B-day box next!!!

Blog Candy/Give Away at My Sister Blog

Lannie of Hellz Bellz seriously has every thing that has to do with fashion on smash. Releasing a new video to accompany there spring college, I must say I didnt like it. Thea acting was bad but the scenery, girls, and fashion where on point which made me forget all about the bad fight acting. Who wouldn't want to be a fashionable kick asser? lol

Little Red Riding Hood Layout with Cut File

I was a day late in posting this week's Custom Crops project - Hey There Little Red Riding Hood.  Custom Crops challenged us to use the Jubilee cartidge.  While I have done cute house cards and layouts with Jubilee, I wanted to use something a little different for the challenge.  Then I found the tree and grass cut!  Forest.  And who is in the forest?  That wolf waiting for Little Red Riding Hood!

LRRH was created using Everyday Paper Dolls and the wolf is from Create a Critter!  I also used George for a circle and the photo mats and letters.  The cut file as well as detailed instructions are available by clicking the Custom Crops blinkie in the left column. 

This was a really fun layout and I hope that you too are able to enjoy it!

April Showers for Hello Kitty

Happy Monday!  It is a BBTB2 Monday and we have seven new Design Team members!!  Have you already been by the BBTB2 blog and checked out all of the amazing cards and layouts???  WOW, WOW, WOW!

This week's challenge cut is the little three flower card on the From My Kitchen cartridge.  I used the flower card and added two folds to each side, inserting it through the foundation card (a recipe card from FMK) so that it creates a panoramic card. 

I used HELLO KITTY to create the center section of my card, matted on a label from Sentimentals.   Kitty has her umbrella out because we are still having April Showers. The tag at the top of the card says April Showers, as if we had any doubts.  But what happens when we get April showers?  Yes!  May flowers!  See the three cute little button flowers growing in the rain?

 

And because I might want to actually add a note and sign this card, I made Kitty into a card.  The Hello Kitty section is the only part of this card that opens.  Cute, huh?
