Bipasha Basu Upcoming Movie Shaadi Fast Forward Opposite R Madhavan



Madhavan, who is on a high after the super-success of Tanu Weds Manu will now be seen in another rom-com Shaadi Fast Forward.



Shaadi Fast Forward is a romantic comedy directed by Ashwini Chaudhary which brings together the unusual pairing of Bipasha Basu and R Madhavan. This is the first time Bipasha and Madhavan will be working together. Apparently, they loved the script and signing the film immediately.

The lead pair will soon fly to Greece for a long outdoor schedule. The film is likely to release in February next year.

Omi Vaidya who was with Madhavan in 3 Idiots and with Bipasha in Players will also be a part of this film. Besides him, the film also stars Dipannita Sharma and Mrinalini Sharma.

Shocking: Bipasha Basu groped at Durga Puja by stranger

Bipasha Basu had a quite horrendous Durga Puja celebration this time for the actress was groped by a stranger at a Durga Puja pandal.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Bipasha, who is a staunch Bengali, decided to participate in the Durga Puja festivities at The North Bombay Sarvojonin Durga Puja in Santacruz with boyfriend John Abraham.

“Bipasha and John came together for the Durga Puja in the evening and Bipasha was very excited as has always been part of Durga Pujas in Mumbai over the years. Just after the darshan, she was near the stage when some pervert groped her breasts. Bipasha, of course, was taken aback and flew into a fit of rage. People around her tried to calm her down. John too was present there and he whisked her away to calm her down. She even wanted to lodge a police complaint. However, she had second thoughts. As for the sick man, he quietly and promptly ran away, taking advantage of the commotion”, said an eyewitness.

Bipasha had gone to the pandal (being managed by Rani Mukerji) on Rani’s invitation and the last thing she was expecting was to be left feeling sick at such a shameful incident.

Well, all that we can say is the fact that if such a thing can happen to a top-notch actress, then what about a common woman?

Bipasha Basu takes up swimming lessons while Shooting in Goa

Apart from getting sun-tanned in Goa, Bipasha Basu has been catching up on her swimming lessons after pack-up, while shooting for Ajay Devgan's home production, All The Best, directed by Rohit Shetty.

Ocean can wait

Says the actress, "I like to swim in the night but it's too dark and it's high tide mostly when I go to swim. So till now, I haven't swum in the ocean."

Bipasha is catching up on her swimming at Cancona beach where the cast has been put up.
As reported the actress was keen to learn belly dancing, swimming and driving.

"But after just a couple of lessons, I had to come to Goa. So now every night after pack- up and after working out at the gym, I practise in the hotel pool."

Bipasha is not afraid of swimming. She laughs, "The pool is so shallow that I can stand in it as I am tall. This is because of the universal law that states no hotel can have pools of more than five-and-a-half feet deep, that I can stand there."

Apart from swimming, Bips is also having fun catching up with her co-stars Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt. "There is loads of mazaak and masti on the sets."

She continues, "We have just shot a song and we will be in Goa for a month and a half."

Bipasha Basu is into belly dancing

It’s not for a film. Not this time. Starting this week, Bipasha Basu is taking a month off to fulfil one of her long-cherished dreams.“This month-long holiday fell into my lap when the Lamhaa schedule got postponed by a month to April 20. I’m now using this time to do what I always wanted to. I’m learning…belly dancing.”

Belly dancing? Is it for a movie? “No no it’s something I wanted to learn for a long time. I wanted to indulge in a dancing skill that didn’t require too much pressure on my knees which are not doing too well. So salsa and other dance forms were out.”

So is this for a film. Or for private performance with John Abraham?

“Neither,” Bipasha chortles. “I’m learning belly dancing for myself. I love dancing. I don’t have really fantastic knees. And I didn’t want to learn any dancing that would put pressure on my knees. Of course I’d love to do belly dancing on screen too. And I’ll incorporate it into my roles for sure.”

Earlier this week Bipasha woke up her business manager in the middle of the night to look for a belly dancing school. “The impulse just came on me. She located a proper institute which I’m enrolling into.”

Belly-dancing is not all that Bipasha is learning. “I’m also learning swimming and driving in this month-long unexpected holiday. Swimming is something I learnt a bit for Dhoom 2. For Dhoom no swimming skills, only the body was required. So I pulled it off. But I really don’t know swimming and I’m finally learning it. For Goa’s sake.”

Bipasha explains, “Goa is my favourite holiday spot. When I get into the water in Goa I just float. Now I want to swim in the Goan waters. Not just for fun. But because it’s a very good exercise. And swimming brings so much grace to your body language.”

As for driving, it’s more of a challenge that Bipasha has taken up to prove her boyfriend John wrong. “As we talk I’m in the fourth day of my driving lessons. I can drive straight left and right. But I can’t reverse yet. So now I can look convincing when driving. In almost all my films I’m shown driving. But I’ve never actually know how to drive.”

Learning driving is Bipasha’s way of self-empowerment. “I don’t want to be dependent on others to drive me around. I want to drive myself to the gym. And if there’s a medical emergency in the night I can drive my way to the hospital.”

Bipasha’s boyfriend thinks women make terrible drivers. “All these years John has been cribbing about women drivers. He fells they can’t drive well. I had warned him he’d have to zip up the day I learnt to drive. No more cribbing about women drivers.”

Laughs Bipasha, “When I tell my friends I’m learning so many things in the next one month they think I’m gone mad. But I’ve this unexpected month off. And I want to surprise myself.”

Well, bong babe Bipasha Basu is not really completing her unfinished education. She is actually busy learning new skills.

Apart from trying to convince her boyfriend John Abraham not to work with Vidya Balan, who he was rumoured to be getting cosy with in the past, Bipasha has been busy with other things these days. She has been taking driving and swimming classes.

Bipasha recently went to Kolkata to get her driver’s license made. She said, “I knew a bit of both, but needed to perfect them. I truly admire the people who do free-style swimming. It is like they are dancing in water. I want to do that as well. "

Bipasha added, “And with driving, well, I was never inclined towards it. But now, I have finally given in and I know it is not that difficult.”

Well, learning new skills can be a lot of fun. And that sure would also distract her from all the fighting she has to do with John over Vidya.

Bipasha Basu missed the showing of Shiamak Davar's collection launched by a sportswear company on Thursday night. What's particularly interesting about this bit of news is that Bipasha is the brand ambassador of said company.

A source present at the event says, "Shiamak and Reebok tied up to present his collection of the Bollywood workout program and the fashionable dance collection on Thursday night at a suburban hotel. Bipasha too was invited to the launch as she's the company's brand ambassador. But she didn't turn up even though she was in Mumbai."

The source further says, "Initially, Bipasha had committed to attend but something happened and she didn't turn up at the last moment leaving the organisers flustered. Fortunately, Shiamak saved the show with hiscrew putting a performance put up by specially challenged children.

Apparently, Bipasha was miffed that Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan had also been invited at her event and she wouldn't get solo coverage which she had wanted to promote her film, Aa Dekhen Zara, that released yesterday. Shiamak had sent her T-Shirts with the sportswear logo and design a day before the event but she still didn't go."

Bipasha's spokesperson says, "This is not true at all. It was more a Shiamak event than a Reebok event. Bipasha would have loved to attend it because she's the company's brand ambassador and also because Shiamak is a friend.

She was an invitee and it wasn't imperative that she attend the event. Also the timings clashed with her prior commitment for her movie (Aa Dekhen Zara) promotions and a preview screening on the eve of the film's release. The timings were clashing for both events and hence she couldn't attend the same. The brand had invited her on Tuesday for the event on Thursday and they were informed at the same time about the timing stress."

Bipasha Basu is one of the model turned actresses who has succeeded in a big way in the Hindi film industry. She is a huge sex symbol, knows it and has no qualms about it. She was even voted the sexiest Asian woman in a poll taken in 2007.
